How Can I Be More Confident With My Choices?

I am learning that life will give me the answers to the questions I ask. For about a month, I have been reading the following question every day, “How can I be more confident with my choices?” Within the last 24 hours, I realized I thought this was a stupid question to ask, so I deleted the question from my daily reading.

Well, guess what happened? Moments ago when preparing to write, a paragraph about confidence suddenly appeared on the computer.

“Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day.”

These are the first two sentences I read.

“Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day.”

I think the sentences are important enough to read them twice.

Without knowing, I have been building confidence within myself through my choices. Every moment I have awaken at 5 a.m. and started my morning routine. Every evening I went to sleep after making sure I completed all my daily tasks. Every Sunday I made sure my weekly tasks were completed. And every last day of the month when I made sure I kept my commitments to my monthly tasks.

I have been building confidence in myself with all the day-to-day choices to take care of myself, to love myself, to make myself happy, and to trust myself. And I did not even know.

Towards the end of January, I will attend an event that will allow me to meet people. I desire to make connections and receive opportunities. But because the event and everything about it is new to me, I have no idea what to expect. I just think to show up being visible, courageous, and trusting my choices.

“Confidence isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you can figure it out along the way.”

I don’t have all the answers. But I do trust and believe I can handle any situation that comes my way.

Since my yoga training in Thailand got canceled (while I was in Thailand), my mind has had more time to think about the event towards the end of January. I am assuming any resistance I sense is just fear of the unknown.

How can I be more confident with my choices?

Show up Stacy. Show up and learn.

And if you don’t know, I am willing.

You will probably notice that the information in the video is from my “Goals” web-page. I encourage you to answer the questions from the Goals Worksheet. Some of my “in-person” friends have found the worksheet very useful already. I had a lot of fun creating this video to share with you. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
