Eat Well

Eating well is important for experiencing life differently. As someone who has had a love-hate relationship with food, I am honored to share my challenges, learnings, and life with eating food. My desire is to encourage you to be more aware of the foods you eat. Eat Well is a six month series. Aloha

I share my experiences and my perspective. Eating and healing look different for everyone. If you are struggling with food or your relationship with your body, please find support. You don’t have to do this alone.

Eating When the Body Is Ready

Do you eat when your body signals you to eat, or do you eat when time signals you to eat? I eat when my body signals me to eat, but this only began after a lifetime of eating when I was told to eat (after being given permission).

Protein

As a child, I had a lot of energy according to my mother. My body wanted to move rather than sit still. A doctor told my mother, “the more protein you give her, the better.”
